FIUSD is Fiserv’s bank-friendly stablecoin, designed to help financial institutions integrate digital assets into existing banking and payment systems. The product enables real-time, 24/7 money movement and more efficient digital transactions while operating within the structure of traditional finance.

For this project, I was responsible for designing the visual identity of the FIUSD coin and creating a digital asset that needed to feel secure, credible, and forward-looking while still aligning with Fiserv’s established brand. The challenge was designing a coin that represented a new form of digital currency but still felt trustworthy to traditional financial institutions. The design needed to balance innovation and stability—visually communicating that FIUSD is backed, reliable, and built for the future of banking.

To differentiate FIUSD within the stablecoin market, I focused on using recognizable Fiserv brand elements and leaned into the company’s prominent orange to help the coin stand out. At the time, many stablecoins and digital currencies relied heavily on blue and green palettes to signal security and stability. By using orange as the primary color, the coin becomes immediately recognizable while still maintaining a sense of trust through its form, structure, and simplicity.

The final design uses bold, high-contrast color, clean geometric form, and a simplified currency and framing symbol to create a mark that is both legible at small scale and impactful across digital applications.

This project focused on translating an emerging financial technology into a visual form—designing not just a coin, but a visual symbol of trust for a new digital financial system.
